Volleyball tournament of the dormitories

The tournament took place on the Volleyball field of the Eichkamp dormitory on 29 August 2020. Twelve teams had gathered in the various dormitories and competed against each other. 

A real summer sun and beach atmosphere was created! With cool drinks and excellent weather, with the feet in the sand, made you forget that we were still in the middle of a city with 4 million inhabitants! And as Peter Fox sings "... im Sommer tust Du gut!

So to stick the Corona regulations during the day, were no longer a problem. Every participant had to be registered and no spectators were allowed as guests. The teams from the same dormitory were like a house community and did not have to keep a distance between each other, but the individual teams had to. Because of this rules, it was not allowed to be too close to the net during blocking - but the fun of the game was not affected by this.

The winner of the tournament was the team from Siegmunds Hof, after they had won the semi-final by a very narrow margin. The top 3 teams got medals and the winnners got golden trophies with the symbol of the Eichkamp dormitory: a squirrel! 

Thanks to the main organiser Joaquin and all the other helping tutors, as well as the staff of the Studentenwerk for this beautiful summer-sun-beach-day.
