Contact us in time!

In order to create the necessary conditions right at the beginning of your studies, it is advisable to contact the responsible advisor* at studierenWERK BERLIN early as well as the representatives for the interests of students with disabilities at the universities.

Further contacts, e.g. to the representatives for the interests of students with disabilities at the universities, other counselling centres or self-help groups can be found in our overview (only in german).

You can find more detailed information for whole Germany from the Website of the Deutsche Studentenwerk.

Inclusion support services for students

The Counselling Centre for Barrier-free Studies has also taken on the task of awarding inclusion support services for students according to the Berlin Higher Education Act.

Applications for inclusion support services for students such as e.g. study assistants, book allowance or technical aids can be submitted here. Study assistance is granted to study applicants according to the impairment-related requirements.

What qualifies as inclusion support services for students?

Study assistants provide help e.g. with transcriptions, library researches or digitisation of texts.

Technical aids include needs-oriented supplementary equipment for laptops or PCs as well as other technical aids that are required for studying and for which no other social service provider bears the costs.

For the advice and application processing of technical aids is cross-university Ms. Bültbrune responsible.
