Designing the facade of KUNSTRAUM Potsdamer Straße

1st prize for the design concept by Lilli Hanada, Hannes Hehemann
Both are studying architecture at the University of Arts Berlin in the Master program. The 1st prize is awarded with 1000 €.

"In our entry we would like to take up the idiosyncratically raw and unpretentious habitus of the parking garage and respond to the found expression of the building. Our design attempts to unify the following points:
- a clear addressing of the art space for better visibility and orientation
- interventions that leave space for and strengthen the idiosyncratic character of the building
- a design that is at the same time puristic and unobtrusive, yet present and precisely placed
- an atmospheric staging of the building" ( citation Hanada, Hehemann)

The jury awarded two 2nd prizes:

2nd prize for the design concept by Niklas Apfel (Niklas Weber)
He is studying Visual Communication in the Master program at the University of Arts Berlin.

2nd prize for the design concept by Adin Ibricic
He studies Industrial Design at the Berlin University of Applied Sciences. The 2nd prize is endowed with 500 € each.

3rd prize for the design concept by Saleh Vaseghi
He is studying architecture in the master's program at the Berlin University of Applied Sciences. The 3rd prize is endowed with 300 €.
