How to Use Generative AI in Job Applications

The job search can feel challenging and overwhelming. It’s hard to know what advice to follow and what to do to get your application to stand out.
In this workshop, we’ll take a look at what really matters when applying to jobs. We’ll explore the most effective ways to approach the job search and the application process, and we’ll learn how to use digital tools and generative AI (such as Claude or ChatGPT) to support us in the process. We’ll learn how to explore career paths, identify your skills, and create great application documents. We’ll also discuss what to watch out for and what to avoid when using generative AI in the application process.
Upon completing this workshop, you’ll have a set of hands-on tools that you can use – with and without AI – that will help you to navigate the job or internship search effectively and to find a path that truly fits you.
