Residence Tutors Eichkamp

Hi, I'm Yrys and I've been your tutor at Eichkamp since 1 September 2024! I come from Kyrgyzstan and have been living in Germany for five years now. I have been studying special education and history at the Freie Universität Berlin for four years. My hobbies are: yoga, hip-hop dance, crocheting, and playing the violin.
I speak Kyrgyz, English, Russian and German. Eichkamp has been my home since December 2022. I have met many inspiring and motivating people here. Many residents in Eichkamp are very open-minded and attentive. Eichkamp is like Berlin, everyone can find something interesting for themselves, be it a book club, party life or fitness. In the past, there have been many entertaining events such as laser tag, volleyball tournaments or quiz evenings. As a tutor, I would like to organise various creative and active events. You can find information about upcoming events on the posters next to the letterboxes or in the Telegram chat. If you have any questions, ideas and/or suggestions regarding organisation and interaction, you can always get in touch with me. My door is always open!

Hello, I’m Tanja, one of the dormitory tutors at Eichkamp. I come from Dresden, but feel at home here in Berlin. I’m currently studying Social Sciences at Humboldt University for my Bachelor’s degree. Eichkamp offers many opportunities for us students to spend time together and get to know each other. I’m often and happily in the community hall, and I look forward to meeting you there soon! I love dancing and exploring creative forms of movement, and I would also like to organize events in this field soon.Additionally, I would like to organize more events fitting the theme "sharing is caring." We’ve also had sports events like table tennis tournaments here before.

We tutors are happy to assist with any questions related to university or dormitory life and offer advice. You can also send me a message or come to our office.
I speak German and English, but I don’t speak any language that includes racism, sexism, ableism, or queerphobia. :)
