My name is Caio Silvares and I have been a tutor at the Franz-Mehring-Platz 3 student residence since October 2024. I come from São Paulo, Brazil, but I studied at a German school and have been living in Berlin for two years now. I speak Portuguese, English and German as well as a little Spanish. I studied Business Informatics at the TU Berlin for two years, but now I have switched to Media Informatics at the HTW Berlin.
In my free time, I enjoy playing beach volleyball and beach tennis and love travelling to other countries whenever I can.
I plan to organise community events for the residents of the student residence, where we go to parks or bars together. I would also like to organise games and pizza evenings as well as beach volleyball in places with sandy courts. I'm Ankit Ankit, a tutor at the Franz Mehring Platz hall of residence, and I'm looking forward to meeting you!
Although I am originally from India, I have felt very much at home in Berlin since 2020 with its great atmosphere and many opportunities. Besides being fluent in German and English, I am currently learning Spanish. I am interested in studying Computer Engineering at HTW Berlin because I want to develop new technologies. In my free time, I am active in sports (football and hockey at the Berlin Sports Club, gym) and attend techno and electronic music events. To switch off, I like to read science fiction and fantasy.
Yoga and fitness are part of my everyday life - yoga helps me to relax my body and mind, and I train strength and endurance in the gym.
In the summer, I plan to go boating on the Spree, BBQ in the park, visit technology museums and go on excursions in the surrounding area. As well as games evenings, film evenings and cooking together, I'll keep you up to date with new events via email, posters or the hall of residence website.
I particularly like the international atmosphere at Franz Mehring Platz, where you can live together with students from all over the world and learn from each other.
