Tip 1: Check whether you could get BAföG. There is a calculator on bafoeg-digital.de that will roughly work out whether you could get BAföG and if so, how much.

Tip 3: Look at stellenwerk-berlin.de to find a job! Two thirds of all students have to work alongside their studies, often even though they receive Bafög. Fail: Accumulate debt until it's too late.
Unfortunately, the topic of student finance is quite complex. First of all, you need to make a realistic plan of your expenses and income so that you can realise how much you really need each month. Only then can you check where the money can come from.
