Being the first to go to university? Tell your story with zines

Are you one of the first people in you family to attend university? Your path to university was not as smooth and simpla as that of some others? Or you know from your family of origin what it is like to have not much money?

These can all be signs that classism is an aspect of your life.

In this workshop, we will creatively explore the topic. You can create your own little magazine - a ZINE. With reflective activities you will find out what you have to say about the topic and how you want to say it.

Then you can start making and crafting your own zines. You don't need any previous knowledge or materials - we have them. Bring along fun in creative work and a desire to deal with the issues of class, educational justice and origin.

The workshop language is German.

Julian Knop is a process facilitator, mediator and political educator. He works especially in the fields of democracy education, diversity education and didactics. Together with others, he forms the educational collective stuhlkreis_revolte.

He works on classism at the Technical University in the project seminar "classmatters@TU Berlin". With the publication of the anthology "Klassenfahrt" (Class Trip), he dealt intensively with the topic of classism.
