Berlin Stories kick-off-reading 2025 / closing reading 2024 [Mostly in German]
Who will be Stadtschreiber*in 2025? Find out at our kick-off reading in the c.t. cafeteria!
Every ending has a beginning - and when Eliana Wojtal's time as Stadtschreiberin comes to an end, we will announce the new student city writers. With the Berlin Stories student writer project, which is unique in Germany, we want to show the specific perspective of Berlin students on their city over a longer period of time. Every year, one or two city writers are selected by a jury and then receive a Study&Work salary to write literary texts on a monthly basis. We publish these on our Berlin Stories blog and on the canteen screens of studierendenWERK BERLIN.
And as every year in January, it is now time to present the new Stadtschreiber*innen 2025 and listen to their texts! The reading also offers the opportunity to listen to the final project of the current Stadtschreiberin Eliana Wojtal and to hear the texts of the shortlisted authors and celebrate them. Afterwards, you can get into conversation with us and each other over free drinks.
There will be texts by, among others:
- The two new Stadtschreiber*innen, who will be announced during the event
- Authors who have made it onto the shortlist: Aline Hafermaas, Alishya Tanoku, Laura Gerloff, Leah Hentschel, Leah Luna Winzely, Marie Kublik and Victoria Annabelle Esenwein.
No registration is necessary for the reading. Just come along.
