FULLY BOOKED: Course: Urban Sketching

In this course, you can enjoy the sun, create artworks and develop your own artistic style. The course starts on June 1st and will take place once a week until June 22nd.

In this course, you'll learn the basics of Urban Sketching, an artistic technique that uses the city as a source of inspiration for your sketchbook. The focus is on quickly sketching urban scenes, people and architecture. During a voluntary warm-up phase, we practice the quick recognition and capturing of connected forms and shadows. Afterwards, there will be longer stretches of time which you can use to graphically come to grips with your surroundings. The course leader Maja Hübener will be available to answer questions and offers tips.

When: every Thursday, June 1st til June 22nd, from 4pm to 6pm

Meeting Point: Foyer of the Mensa TU (Hardenbergstraße 34, 10623 Berlin)

Please bring your own drawing materials. Especially suited to urban sketching are watercolors, pencils, fineliner pens and the appropriate paper.
