Creative LAB: Putting Art into Practice – Talk about your Art!

To move confidently in the professional field, creativity and thorough specialist knowledge are not the only requirements: a convincing presentation of one’s work is equally important. Students of artistic subjects often feel insecure in this regard, although presenting is a recurring requirement of our profession.

Finding a professional, independent perspective and a coherent language for our own artistic work may not seem easy, but can be learned - and is a foundation for presentations, performances and artist talks. Dealing with the topic of self-presentation and external perception not only strengthens the skills of communication, but often also one’s own artistic position.

The workshop “Art practice: Talk about your art!” strengthens the ability to put one's own work into words, helps to find a structure for and provides support for a strong presentation. It will also help to find the ways of constantly improving the ability to speak and present in public.

Please bring the following with you to the workshop:

- Work samples (scrollable on a USB stick, no websites)

- Artist statement (if already available)

- Your own writing utensils
