FLINTA* Empowerment: Wendo self-assertion & self-defence workshop

As part of our FLINTA* empowerment series, we and the Wendo-Bande Berlin-Brandenburg invite you to our Wendo workshop!

The course will take place on Sat. November 9th and Sun. November 10th from 11:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Registration for the course is binding.

Wendo is a feminist concept within the context of self-defence and self-assertion. It is about defending yourself against violence, oppression and boundary violations and standing up for yourself. The course will focus on your experiences and adventures and you will learn different techniques and exchange ideas.

The Wendo workshops are part of the FLINTA* empowerment series and are therefore open to FLINTA* people.
Wendo was originally developed as a strategy against violence against women. As gender-diverse people also experience violence because of their gender, we have been developing our courses and methods for some time now so that they are suitable for as many people as possible. We open up a space in which differences can be recognised and at the same time a shared empowering experience can be made and in which it is possible to learn from each other. We treat all participants with appreciation and respect for their person, their experiences and their gender identity.
The course is not open to cis men.

About the event series: FLINTA* stands for women, lesbians, intersex, non-binary, trans and agender people - in other words, for all those who are discriminated against because of their gender identity. Find out more here. With the FLINTA* empowerment series, we want to offer a place for exchange and a safer space. All people who feel they belong are welcome! It is also important for us to point out that you can't tell anyone's gender by looking at them. We particularly encourage TIN people to take part in our events or to lead them as speakers.
