Sign up to be on stage or come along and vote to see who wins.
Do you have a talent that you've always wanted to show off in front of an audience? At the Mix it! talent contest, you can expect a relaxed atmosphere, professional technology and a great student audience. What's more, all acts can win 50 euros for their performance and more! All acts are welcome: Whether you juggle, slam, play in a band, perform or show magic tricks. Because Mix it! is the stage competition for Berlin students that is open to all genres.
As we receive many solo applications from the field of music, we are particularly looking forward to applications from other disciplines, such as dance, theater, poetry, slam, bands, cabaret, etc. Have the courage to apply! Please note: Applications can be submitted up to one week before the event, the final confirmation will only be made on the Monday before the event, as we make sure we have a balanced mix of genres.
You want to be there as a spectator?
If you don't want to perform yourself, but want to see great acts and completely free of charge, then just come along. At the end of the evening, you get to decide who wins! The audience decides who wins the evening's audience prize of 200 euros and qualifies for the big Mix it! final at the end of the year. Please note: For reasons of fairness, you must see all the acts if you want to vote. If you arrive after the first act has started, you will unfortunately not be allowed to vote.
There usually are seven Mix it! Open Stage competitions each year. So you can register with any program for a Mix it! competition with any program. However, you may only register for a maximum of two Mix it! competitions per year. You have a maximum of 10 minutes for your performance, receive 50 euros for it and can also win 200 euros if you are chosen by the audience. As the winner, you automatically take part in the Mix it! Night of Talents, where you can win the 1000 euro audience prize in the final at the end of the year!
The Freiraum is wheelchair accessible. Please contact us before the course (kultur@stw.berlin), so we can show you the elevator and unlock the back entrance of the Freiraum.
