Petrichor
Photographs by Fee in Kunstraum Schinkelsaal.
„Petrichor means the smell of rain on stone and dry earth, which I associate with decay and reconstruction.
In my photographs, I deal with the romanticization of industrialization, overproduction and waste, and the resulting consequences within nature: the change, the forest dieback, but also the resurgence. I experiment with opening, dissolving and changing structures. Because I like coincidence and avoid controlled planning, my work consists exclusively of analog photographs. I refrain as much as possible from digital post-processing. I let coincidence happen intuitively by creating the cross-fades using the camera itself."
