"Typical Value of Roughness"

‘Colours of a rough world’ - this is how Tyro's approach could be described when she captures the nocturnal atmosphere of Kreuzberg and transforms it into luminous, graphically precise and yet deeply penetrating works. Tyro gets to the heart of the chaos of everyday life, the crazy characters and the bizarre moments of city life. Whether it's the punk celebrating New Year's Eve alone in the underground or the countless small scenes that Tyro absorbs on the streets at night - all of this finds its way onto the canvas. Her works are graphically clean, but their content is so multifaceted that it is almost impossible to grasp them at first glance. The bright colours and clear lines often conceal stories that go deeper and sometimes say more about reality than was originally intended. Tyro's works capture the essence of a city that never sleeps, where opposites collide and the seemingly insignificant suddenly becomes a grand narrative.

In her exhibition ‘Typical value of roughness’, Tyro tries to reflect the world in all its craziness in such a way that you recognise yourself in it and have to laugh. Accessibility for everyone and the public nature of her art is particularly important to her. Her concept is the typical roughness value. What constitutes roughness and how it is created.
