Opening - Unfolding: Young Berlin Artists

For decades, Berlin has functioned as a dynamic cultural laboratory in which the most diverse artistic positions meet in a permanent process of deconstruction, reconfiguration and new formation.

The exhibition ‘Unfolding: Young Berlin Artists’ is dedicated to the current generation of young artists who are not only observing this process, but actively shaping it. The title ‘Unfolding’ refers to the idea of unfolding as a performative act - a constant revealing, questioning and updating of identity, materiality and urban reality. The exhibition sees itself as a kind of topographical exploration of the interfaces between the individual, society and digital and physical spatial structures. It is not a self-contained narrative, but an open space on which artistic works unfold in dialogue and evoke new horizons of meaning.
