5. Cooperation with the parents

An appreciative and constructive relationship between the child's attachment figures is essential for their development. It is therefore important to us to maintain an open and trusting relationship with the parents and to be recognised by them as partners in the child's upbringing.

In the day care centres of studierendenWERK BERLIN, we regularly discuss the development of the children and seek dialogue with the parents in order to jointly reflect on the implementation of the educational goals and actively support the child's development.

Parents are invited to experience everyday life at the daycare centre in all facilities: Celebrations are organised together and parents' meetings and parent-teacher conferences are held at regular intervals. Once a year, the parents elect representatives who discuss various organisational issues with the educational staff on the day care committee.
