1. Registration

Has your child already been born? Are you a student or working at one of our partner universities? Then you can register your child for a place in one of our childcare centres. Simply use our online form. Registration and contract allocation takes place at the respective centre. Pre-registration lists for children are kept in the daycare centres for the allocation of places.

To conclude a contract, you will need a so-called "Kita voucher". This is issued by the youth welfare office in your district on presentation of the child's birth certificate and proof of employment and income. You can also apply for the childcare voucher online (only in German). If you are a student, it is sufficient to present your semester certificate to qualify for full-time childcare, as studying is a full-time job. However, you must not be on leave of absence.

Please note that the application for a childcare voucher should be submitted at the earliest 9 months and at the latest 2 months before the desired start of childcare.
