1. Are there any special admission requirements for me?

You can get a place on a degree program with restricted admission by applying to the university of your choice in good time.

'Härtefallantrag'

Under certain conditions, applicants with a health impairment can apply for immediate admission to a degree course via a hardship application, regardless of their grade and without a waiting period. A small number of study places are allocated to applicants via this hardship quota. A current specialist medical certificate must prove that a waiting period is not reasonable for certain reasons.

There are other special applications for improving the average grade or the waiting time.

Note

Please note the requirements of the respective university!
You can get advice on this from the representatives or the counseling center for students with disabilities at your university.

Study places in medicine, veterinary medicine, dentistry and pharmacy are allocated centrally via Stiftung Hochschulstart.

Application with a university entrance qualification
from abroad:

Applicants with a higher education entrance qualification from the EU, the EEA and Switzerland can generally submit a hardship application for undergraduate degree programs. Other foreign applicants with a higher education entrance qualification acquired abroad must apply for most universities via the portal www.uni-assist.de.
They cannot then submit a hardship application as they are already admitted within a quota. Please note the requirements of the respective university!
