Kick-off retreat for early stage doctoral researchers - In-person event in English
Under the motto " Kick off your Doctorate", a kick-off retreat for early-stage doctoral researchers is held twice a year. The kick-off doctoral researchers the opportunity to get off to a good start in their doctoral studies. In numerous workshops and lectures, you will receive helpful information, important tools for passing the doctorate, and plenty of space for networking with like-minded people.
Start: March 26th 2025 (Wednesday) at 13:30 p.m.
End: March 28th 2025 (Friday) at 12:30 p.m.

Student for a Day - Prospective Students
Spend a study day with us at the Berlin University of Applied Sciences and get an insight into the daily life of a specific degree program. You will accompany our students to lectures and perhaps even visit the library or the cafeteria. At our event "Match Your Master!" with an accompanying Q&A session, we aim to answer all your questions. Each Master's program will have its own breakout room, where it will introduce itself and address any remaining questions you might have.

At the beginning of your stay in Berlin, you must officially register yourself and your new address at the Local Registration Office. You have rent a room in a student hall of residence or a shared flat, an apartment or are staying with friends or acquaintances. With this address, you register with the Bürgeramt as an official citizen of the city of Berlin. You can do this conveniently at the International Service Centre in the main building of the HU. If you're interested in studying Design (Product/ Fashion) and Visual Communication or programs in the Faculty of Fine Arts (Fine Arts and Teacher Training Programs in Art Education), you have the opportunity to attend a special information session hosted by the academic advising team.
These events take place twice a month and are led by students who will present their programs and answer your questions.
There is one information session held online and another in person at the buildings of UdK Berlin.
The info sessions are conducted in German, but questions can also be answered in English.
In Person: At the on-site events, there is usually a small tour of the buildings, workshops, classrooms, etc. No prior registration is required.
Online: Simply click the registration link, sign up, and you will automatically receive the meeting link.
