The universities offer many events that are (also) relevant for prospective students. Below you will find a list of upcoming events.

We recommend that you not only check the programmes offered by your preferred university, but also take a look at the others, as you may also be interested in events organised by other universities in Berlin.

We are currently not aware of any events for refugees/international prospective students.

Studying at BHT - An Event for Prospective Students

Leaving school – entering university life! It sounds easy. But something is different about universities compared to schools – but what exactly?

How does studying at BHT work? What can you expect? How large are the lectures? Who do you give your excuse to if you miss a class – are you even allowed to miss one?

The Central Student Advisory Service will give you an insight into what it's like to study at BHT.

You will receive information about the degree programmes Museum Studies and Museum Management and Communication at HTW Berlin. First, you will receive a short presentation on the basics, such as the requirements, structure and course of the degree programme. This will be followed by an open question and answer session for everyone. If you still have personal questions, there is still the possibility of counselling in the 4-eyes principle.

The interview is both a counselling and aptitude interview. On the one hand, you will receive information on the four specialisations of the degree programme. On the other hand, the interview serves to find out more about your previous career and your motivation for the professional field of conservation/restoration and excavation technology.

Match deinen Master- Your Master's Information Day at HTW Berlin, May 21, 2025

You want to pursue a Master's degree but aren’t sure which one to choose? You’re still thinking about whether to continue with a Master's or jump directly into the workforce? You want to know if your Bachelor's degree fits a Master's program or if HTW Berlin is the right place for you? At our event "Match Your Master!" with an accompanying Q&A session, we aim to answer all your questions. Each Master's program will have its own breakout room, where it will introduce itself and address any remaining questions you might have.

When and Where?

Our Master's Information Day "Match Your Master" takes place annually via Zoom. The next one will be on May 21, 2025, at 4:00 PM.

Local Registration Office at HU’s main building

At the beginning of your stay in Berlin, you must officially register yourself and your new address at the Local Registration Office. You have rent a room in a student hall of residence or a shared flat, an apartment or are staying with friends or acquaintances. With this address, you register with the Bürgeramt as an official citizen of the city of Berlin. You can do this conveniently at the International Service Centre in the main building of the HU. The Local Registration Office is with us on the following days:

These include depression, neurodiversity, Crohn's disease, Dyslexia, Long COVID as well as visual, hearing, speech and mobility impairments. We want to talk about the questions: How do I organise my studies at my individual pace? What is compensation for disadvantages? What exactly does a study assistant do? What can technical aids be? How can I pause my studies in the event of a longer period of illness or organise them more individually? Who or what can help me to cope better with the demands of my studies?

Essentials for international degree-seeking students

The event offered by the International Degree-Seeking Students Team aims in particular at newly enrolled international degree-seeking students who cannot attend the introductory event in person.
