The universities offer many events that are (also) relevant for prospective students. Below you will find a list of upcoming events.

We recommend that you not only check the programmes offered by your preferred university, but also take a look at the others, as you may also be interested in events organised by other universities in Berlin.

Workshop | Empowerment workshop for queer students

In the workshop we will discuss our everyday experiences in the university context. We will then work together to develop strategies for dealing with such situations. We will work practically with various creative methods. The framework of the workshop is confidential. All methods are voluntary. It is of course possible to register with a first name.

Online! Studying for a Master's degree?

Master's programme - yes or no? And if so, why and when? These are the questions facing everyone who is about to graduate with a Bachelor's degree. What should I consider? What alternatives do I have? Which research strategy can I use to gain more certainty in the decision-making process? After an introductory presentation by a student counsellor, there will be an opportunity to ask questions and exchange ideas.

jobwunderBAU–the career fair at TU Berlin

Students and graduates will have the opportunity to meet attractive employers in the field of construction industry and talk about career opportunities and concrete entry possibilities.

The career fair jobwunderBAU 2023 will take place in the modern architecture building of TU Berlin. Up to 30 companies, authorities, scientific institutions and start-ups will present themselves. In addition, career counselling and information lectures will be offered.

The fair is aimed at students and graduates of the following degree programmes, among others:

- Architecture,
- Civil Engineering,
- Energy Engineering and Process Engineering,
- Geotechnology,
- Landscape Architecture,
- Ecology and Environmental Planning,
- Environmental Science and Technology

1. Guest student plus for refugees

From 14 October to 11 November, prospective refugee students can apply to attend courses and seminars (including practical artistic classes) free of charge. To do so, they must contact the responsible professor or lecturer in advance and obtain permission. They can then complete the application form with their written consent. The prerequisite is that they have applied for asylum and have not been in Germany for longer than 12 months. Further information can be found here.

2. Workshop-Series “How to Study at UdK Berlin"
These workshops provide information to prospective students, students and artists at risk about studying at the UdK Berlin and what it has to offer. There are organized by International Student Services, Common Ground, Study Advisory Service and Artist Training.

3. Jour Variable

If you are interested in the degree programmes Design (Product/ Fashion) and Visual Communication or in the degree programmes of the Faculty of Fine Arts (Fine Arts and the teacher training programmes) you are welcome to attend a special information event, organized by the student advisory service.
These events are held twice a month and are led by students who present their course of study and answer your questions.

As a rule, there is one information event in digital form on the video platform Webex and one in presence in the buildings of the UdK Berlin.

Usually the information events are held in German. However, questions can also be answered in English.

Presence
At the on-site events, there is usually also a short guided tour of the buildings, workshops, classes, etc.
No pre-registration is necessary.
