- Without pressure to perform and without set choreography – no previous experience needed.
- All movements and all emotions are welcome here.
- We dance, reflect on our experiences, and share with one another.
- We have fun and can be silly too.
- Setting boundaries is important: If an exercise doesn’t feel right, if we don’t want to share something, or if we’re not feeling great – that’s completely okay too.
- Develop our body awareness
- Learn to use the connection between body and mental well-being
- Discover our bodies, movements, and dance as resources
- Share experiences with other FLINTA* individuals
- Empower ourselves and one another
Tabeo (no pronouns/they) is white, non-binary, and queer.
We aim to create a safer space where we meet each other with care and appreciation for our diverse human experiences, marginalizations, and privileges — and support one another.
The course will be held in spoken German.
We want this course to be as accessible as possible: Feel free to email us at flintanz@proton.me if you have any questions, needs, or wishes. We’re happy to work together on making the course even more inclusive.
Mobility & Access Info:
If you use a wheelchair or have limited mobility, please email kultur@stw.berlin or call us at 0171 7936994 before the event.
Access is only temporarily barrier-free, as our elevator unfortunately breaks down frequently.
FLINTA* stands for women, lesbians, intersex, non-binary, trans, and agender people – in other words, all those who experience discrimination based on their gender identity. You can learn more about it here.
With the FLINTA* empowerment series, we aim to create a space for exchange and a safer space. Everyone who identifies with this is welcome!
We also want to emphasize that you can’t assume someone’s gender by looking at them.
We especially encourage TIN (trans, intersex, and non-binary) individuals to participate in our events or to lead them as facilitators.
