Welcome to Summer Semester!

What does the studierendenWERK offer you?

The studierendenWERK BERLIN is responsible for numerous Berlin universities and offers services that contribute to the successful completion of your studies.

We have put together an overview of these services here, including tips and fails for first-year students.

The studierendenWERK BERLIN runs the canteens on the campuses of the various universities. Our food trucks bring food to your campus or hall of residence. You can find the menus for your canteen or the food trucks here:

Important to know: You can only pay with your MensaCard. Most of you already have this integrated into your CampusCard.

We offer a total of 9,200 places in our 31 halls of residence.

BAföG

The most important form of student financing is BAföG, a state loan, half of which must be repaid interest-free.

Counselling on study financing

In addition to BAföG, there are many ways to finance your studies. Our social counselling service can advise you on this. You can make an appointment using the online form:

Good to know: Students with children and pregnant students also receive comprehensive advice on their financial options here.

Culture & Events

If you want to be creatively active alongside your studies, our extensive cultural programme is certainly something for you. Drawing and dance courses, theatre group and choir, writing and reading circles - the programme is extensive!
